The Porch

Dad and Fern can now use their front door!

The front porch from the trailer was removed and hauled up to the little house. There it was modified to make it ready for mounting at the front door. We moved the old porch out of the way and built a new substructure. Then the modified porch was set on the substructure. At the same time the old side walk was rebuilt to make it wider and level. The railings and steps were then constructed and the little house now has a new front porch that is at the same level as the front door. All in all this was a great improvement over the old porch and the contribution and help by everyone in the family was greatly appreciated.
